Quality over quantity

Each tea is a hallmark of the producers’ emphasis on quality over quantity, from renowned growing regions including Kagoshima, and Uji, Kyoto — the birthplace of Japanese tea.

Meaningful farming practices are standard within the range, including organic and single origin, pre-harvest shaded, as well as single cultivar and single field grown, such as Mr Ookawa’s Gyokuro Gokou.

Find your flavour

The tea in this collection are guided by five distinct tasting attributes, which are commonly used when assessing Japanese green teas. They are body, aroma, astringency, sweetness, and umami.

Genmaicha Yamabuki

Comforting and delicious with its popcorn-like aroma and savoury-sweet profile. Notes of Brazil nut, toasted nori and popcorn. For everyday drinking.

Sencha Yamabuki

Rich and mellow, with a pleasant savoury-sweet character. Notes of fresh cut grass, vegetal, and floral. For everyday drinking.

Hojicha Gold

Full-bodied, roasted flavour with notes of toast, wheat bran, blanched almond. Low in caffeine, great for nighttime or as a digestive.

Gyokuro Gokou

Full-bodied, intensely vegetal and rich in umami. Some seaborne tasting elements, and hint of melon. Ideal for indulgent moments and weekends.

Matcha Kotobuki

Wonderfully balanced between sweet and savoury, with light vegetal and floral notes. Very mellow and easy to drink every day.
